Faculty Bio

My name is Ken Dukes and I am beginning my second year as the Criminal Justice instructor at New Market Skills Center. In June of 2013 I retired from the Lake Havasu City Police Department where I served as a patrol officer, field training officer, general instructor, hostage negotiator, taser instructor, critical incident team, crisis intervention stress management team, peer to peer counselor, forensic child interviewer, along with numerous job related certifications. I grew up in Olympia, Wa. and graduated from Capital High School. After my retirement, I returned to my hometown and was blessed with the opportunity to teach at New Market Skills Center and work with some outstanding students from the area. I am honored to teach these students and instruct them in the techniques and skills within the Criminal Justice system.
