Faculty Bio

I believe education expands the world of possibility for individuals and I strive to help students develop the tools and framework to explore the world, pursue any avenue of life they choose, and learn to overcome any barriers to their success. I have been teaching for over 10 years and I have a passion for student learning and student success. My background is in Social Studies with a B.A. in philosophy and a M.A. in Comparative World History. Additionally, I am highly qualified to teach all core academic subjects and I have experience teaching all levels of secondary education from middle school through college. I am also trained as a challenge course facilitator and we utilize our on-campus ropes course to incorporate the concepts of experiential education and leadership development in the classroom. "Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about CREATING yourself." George Bernard Shaw
